TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, that range is solid.
The Software
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
FIX API is there for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You put money in, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you deposit.
