Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that range is solid.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is offered for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the area where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
Here is the thing that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.
